Bacon Wrapped Dates
if you stuff the dates with a blue cheese, e.g., gorgonzola, do you do that before the hour and 20 minutes in the oven ?? . . . For other options, stuff dates with blue cheese, almonds or gorgonzola cheese for extra flavor.

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

lay bacon on a backing sheet and cook in the oven for 5-7 minutes just to par-cook the bacon. Remove from heat to cool. Slice bacon in half lengthwise.

Place a sheet of foil onto a backing sheet.

Wrap a half piece of bacon around each date and place on cookie sheet. Bake in the oven at 300 degrees, Cover loosely with foil and bake around 1 hour 20 minutes. Take off foil and turn up oven if not browned enough, should be dark in color.
